Remembrance Day

In the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday and to commemorate the end of the First World War, students at Outwood Academy Adwick created a poignant display in honour of those who sacrificed their lives during the conflict.

In enrichment classes, students created a range of fabric poppies, which were interwoven into the display.

On Friday 9th November, students across the Academy dedicated a paper poppy to every man who was killed in action on that day in 1918, as well as all staff and students respectfully observing a two minute silence to honour the fallen. We will remember them.
